Leading off from a strong – but fruitless – first round playoff series in 2011 against the Chicago Bulls, the Indiana Pacers came roaring back to begin the 2011-2012 season. The team is earning its best early record in the previous eight seasons, but are still struggling against the more talented teams in the league.
And the Magic are a fearsome adversary that are 11-5 on the year so far. And recent history is clearly on Orlando’s side. The Magic have beaten the Pacers in Indiana in each of the previous three meetings between the two.

Both organizations come into this matchup with a 7-3 record over their last ten contests. The Pacers have a 5-0 record at home right now, and the Magic are 5-3 away from home. Look for Orlando to make a surprisingly strong showing after their pitiful 87-56 blowout to the Boston Celtics a few days ago.
